When Life Gives You Lemons….

My thoughts exactly!

My time is Bali has been OK so far. As I mentioned before Kuta and Seminyak seem to be overly touristy with bars and nightclubs and a whole lot of things that I’m just not really interested in for this trip. Continue reading

Well Helloooooo Bali

Landing in Bali

As you can see I’m quickly making my way around Asia. I arrived in Bali yesterday and the place was packed! I had already read that the taxi ride from the airport to the town that I would be staying in would be $7-10 but when you hear the price in local currency (Indonesian Rupiah), 70,000,  it sounds ‘spensive.  Continue reading

35 Days of Gratitude

It has been exactly 35 days since I left home to embark on this journey of the unknown. While a great deal of my posts are filled with rants about my daily occurrences I am by no means spending each and every second of my time wandering aimlessly. Instead of picking up random souvenirs that I don’t need I am gathering trinkets of knowledge and wisdom along the way and listening to my life more. Continue reading

I’m Alive

Just wanted to check in.  Just in case any of you were wondering if I had fallen in a ditch or was in jail or something.  I have tons of posts to upload and I’ll post the links to my stash of 700+ photos.  I will backdate the posts from around the 14th of May so you’ll have plenty to read to get caught up.

Cheers!

To Singapore in Style

I’m sure some of you have noticed that I don’t add specific hotel or store names to any of my posts. It’s in large part due to the fact that none of these places are paying me to advertise and I don’t think omitting names bears any weight on the delivery of a great story. If anyone would like to know specific names or anything that I have mentioned I will be more than happy to tell you in a private email.

Ok now that all of that is out of the way. Continue reading

KL is bananas! B-A-N-A-N-A-S

..and not in a good way. I had already been warned that Kuala Lumpur was going to be a tad bit overwhelming. Especially coming from a quiet island. Being in Perhentian and Penang I almost forgot how hectic it can be to be a tourist in a ridiculously touristy place.  Continue reading

So long Perhentians

My leaving Perhentian Islands seemed bitter sweet. While I was so over the giant *dogs* mosquitos, horrible service at eateries, and my mind not being able to relay to my stomach that “YOU MUST DO #2 IN THE BATHROOM” I will definitely miss the great things that these islands have to offer. Continue reading
