In a blink of an eye

I just learned today that a dear friend of my grandparents was killed in a car accident last week.  Her funeral is today. This woman and her husband sat next to me at the event I threw for my grandfather back in April. She had previous problems with her health but on this night she looked radiant. Now, she is gone.  Continue reading

Unsure if I was doing the right thing being on the road or if I was in the right place. But this time I’m questioning all the above in addition to “what next?” and “where to next?”.    Continue reading

On E…

A few days ago I made the decision to disconnect my stateside mobile, disable my facebook account, and limit my contact home to one day a week. The fact that I was traveling with two girls who were starting to get on my last damn nerves drain my energy, traveling so quickly was becoming overwhelming, and I was still trying to keep up with what was going on at home I was feeling like I was running on E. Like the second right before you kick your passenger out the car and force them to start pushing your car to the nearest gas station. Continue reading

Chao buoi sang Vietnam!

I’ve been in Ho Chi Minh City (known as Saigon by the locals) for the last few days and aside from being swindled by a taxi driver and rushed off of an Army tanker by a local I’ve had a good time :-) Continue reading
