So tomorrow I am Central America bound. Specifically Guatemala. More specifically La Antigua, Guatemala. I had a great time in Dallas visiting with my Mom, attending my old church, and catching up with a few good friends. I thought about how excessive my stopping in the states for a week and a half just to replace a retainer may appear but I know it was meant for me to be here. From the word spoken in church to conversations had with friends old and new…this week and a half has truly been a blessing.
Pardon this quick commercial break. I need to give a few shout outs….
Mom – Thank you for taking time out of your schedule and leaving my little brother with his uncle who spoils him rotten to come and spend time with me. Thank you for the card and the encouraging words. I love you more than you know. Besos!
Jessiiiiiiiiie (one half of my Cambodian-happy-pizza-partners-in-crime (her lovely face can be seen “here“) who drove up from Houston to see me) – Thank you so much for blessing me with your presence. You are without a doubt one of the coolest and most genuine people I know. I’m so excited to see what the future holds for you. Cheers to that ridiculously EXCITING and LIFE ALTERING next chapter.
Clair (My sisterfriend who I’ve known all my life) – Your strength, courage, and grace cannot be matched. I appreciate your encouraging words throughout my journey. I so enjoyed your company and the laughs and stories we shared. I love you survivor!
PattyCakes – Thanks for the kind words and inviting me in to your home and attempting (just kidding) to make me a vegetarian meal. You have a lovely family to include your niece who I swear must really be my long lost child. It was great catching up with you old friend. Emphasis on old 😉
Carmell – Wow. What can I say. We shared some laughs and tears and I am so happy to be able to call you my friend. It was so good to see you again. Keep in touch my dear.
Ok now back to our regularly scheduled program.
Guatemala or Bust!
